Panel participants:
Bonnie Lee, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in Health Sciences (Addictions Counselling Program) as well as a Social Worker and Couple and Family Therapist who works with addiction. She is recognized for her excellence and international reputation pioneering a conjoint congruence couples therapy for addiction treatment and for her leadership in advancing a relational framework in the addiction field. 

Chelsey DeGroot, BAAJS, MAL Naamiitaapii Aahkkoiyiiniimaki
Program Manager Regional Director, Drug Treatment Court McMan Youth, Family & Community Services Assoc. Chelsey has worked within the field of addiction for the past 16 years in various capacities such as Housing First, supervised consumption services and the justice system

Dennis Bremner, Concerned Citizen 
Dennis spent 28 years in the Canadian Navy watching city after city fail to protect their downtowns.

Dr. Esther Tailfeathers, Senior Medical Director, Provincial Indigenous Wellness Core, Alberta Health Services
Esther has worked with many First Nations including the Blood Reserve for almost 20 years. Most recently, Dr. Tailfeathers has focused on the Blood Tribe’s response to the opioid crisis including harm reduction and treatment as well as addressing the upstream determinants of health.

Robin James, CAO Lethbridge Housing Authority
Robin James, uses the Housing Continuum to explain individual housing needs. She explains that supportive housing is needed in Lethbridge to ensure client success so people don’t fall back into homelessness.
