SACPA's first-ever fundraiser in March 2005 was a huge success. Some 150 people attended a $75-plate dinner with Brian Keating of Calgary Zoo. One of Canada’s most fascinating speakers, Brian presented his video "Penguins in Paradise" and stories from his second expedition to the Antarctic.

Ericksen's Family restaurant (now lower level, rear entrance of The Keg) has been the venue of SACPA debates for many years.
SACPA meets every Thursday at noon from September to June at Country Kitchen Catering, the lower level of The Keg, 1715 Mayor Magrath Drive, Lethbridge. The Council also holds special sessions, usually in the evening and often at Lethbridge Public Library.
