Preston Manning served as Canada's Leader of the Opposition in Parliament from 1997 to 2000. He addressed SACPA in 2006 on Alberta's leadership role in Confederation.
SACPA meets every Thursday at noon from September to June at Country Kitchen Catering, the lower level of The Keg, 1715 Mayor Magrath Drive, Lethbridge. The Council also holds special sessions, usually in the evening and often at Lethbridge Public Library.
